Welcome Back to School 2026: A New Year at South Florida School of Excellence
A new year. New opportunities. Brighter futures. We’re excited to welcome our students and families back to South Florida School of Excellence for another amazing school year, and to invite our community to a special Open House. Serving families across Opa-Locka, Miami, and the surrounding region, our Pre-K3 to 12th grade private school is ready to make this the best year yet.
A New Year, New Opportunities, Brighter Futures
As a year-round private school, we open our doors to students at every stage of their journey. Our two programs, South Florida School of Excellence and Autism School of Excellence, work side by side to serve a wide range of learners. Whether your child thrives in a regular education setting or benefits from dedicated special education support, our campus in Opa-Locka is built around the belief that every student can succeed.
Our guiding values shape everything we do. For general education, that means determination, integrity, perseverance, and innovation. For our autism program, it means five commitments we live out daily: accept, understand, love, support, educate, and advocate. Families throughout Miami Gardens, North Miami, and Aventura choose us because these values translate into real classroom experiences.
What Sets Our School Apart
Families come to us from across South Florida for a reason. Here’s what defines the experience:
- Caring teachers who know each student by name and invest in their growth.
- Quality education delivered through a curriculum designed for real outcomes.
- A safe environment where students feel secure and supported every day.
- Endless possibilities for children of all abilities to reach their potential.
Parents in Hollywood, Davie, and Fort Lauderdale often tell us they were looking for exactly this combination: a school that holds high standards while genuinely caring for each child as an individual.
Open House 2026: Your Presence Matters
We warmly invite prospective and returning families to our Open House. This is your chance to step inside our campus, meet the people who make our school special, and picture your child here. Your presence matters, and we’ve designed the evening to help you get a real feel for daily life at our school.
Both Open House sessions run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We’ve scheduled two separate dates so each program gets the focused attention it deserves.
Open House Dates and Times
| Program | Date | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Special Education | Tuesday, August 11, 2026 | 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm |
| Regular Education | Wednesday, August 12, 2026 | 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm |

What You’ll Experience at Open House
The evening is built to answer your questions and show you who we are. During your visit, you’ll be able to:
- Meet our teachers and talk with the educators who will guide your child.
- Explore our classrooms and see the spaces where learning happens.
- Enjoy a curriculum showcase that walks you through what students learn.
- Connect with our school community of families, staff, and students.
Uniform purchases and school supply purchases will also be available during the event, so you can take care of back-to-school essentials in one visit. Join us to connect with our teachers, explore our programs, and see firsthand how we empower every student to succeed.
